With more than a decade of experience in people and organisation development solutions, the Omnicor team includes a variety of subject-matter experts with one overriding passion: to provide excellent service, and clever solutions to our clients. Omnicor is currently composed of more than 40 talented professionals and specialist affiliates from diverse backgrounds and industries.
While we are primarily an organisational psychology, and psychometric business, we have academics, accountants, artists, programmers, and scientists who also call Omnicor their home. Over the last five years, Omnicor has invested heavily in technology and IT infrastructure, making it well positioned to take on the challenges of the interconnected, online marketplace. If you are interested in joining our dynamic, young, and entrepreneurial team, visit our careers page, or drop us a line.

Chief Executive
James said ‘no thanks’ when he was asked to take charge of the bank where he was head of operations, and in 1997 founded Omnicor instead. His background in psychology, general management, business, entrepreneuring and patience developed over fifteen years of building the core business. He has been coaching for around 12 years now and says this, together with leadership development is his true professional calling. When he’s asked what he’s really good at, he says without hesitation that what he does best is find people to work with – the Omnicor team (and his wife) are his testimony!
James has a Masters degree in psychology, but isn’t a psychologist. He has a background in human resources but is not in HR. He headed up an established bank but is not a banker. He is a father, a husband, a business builder, a sailor and a few other things thrown in. Currently assigned to establishing Omnicor’s LeaderZone in Europe, he lives aboard a sailboat, coaching and directing his empire in fifty fathoms of water.
The professional accomplishments he’s proudest of are the Effective Leader Index, Selection Blueprint, Omnicor, LeaderZone, his team, the Managed Leader Development Programme he has built and the people he has been coaching who are now enjoying life and their careers more joyfully than before.

Managing Director
Hilton started his working career in IT as a coder, and then surprised everybody by becoming a psychologist. He always said that being the boss would not change him, but everyone knows that it has. He has been labelled grumpy, acerbic, irascible, contentious and a whole bunch of other words he does not understand.
Fortunately as a well adjusted psychologist, its water off a duck’s back. Hilton has a PhD in psychology and still conducts research though hardly ever finds the answers he is looking for.
An aspirant documentary film maker, Hilton has hundreds of good ideas that have yet to see the light of day. He is frankly just too busy working, keeping a steady hand on Omnicor’s tiller. Hilton is an avid collector of music everyone in his family thinks is impossible to listen to; he can talk at length about the lack of standards in contemporary hip-hop.

Chief Operating Officer
Marcel is Omnicor’s resident psychological scientist, and is proud of his successful past careers as lecturer and published researcher in the fields of social cognition and person perception. His strong pragmatic streak could not be suppressed however, and he joined Omnicor in 2008 to apply the science he loves to the business world as a senior consultant.
Nowadays he oversees operations, which means that he is involved in everything Omnicor does as a roving jack-of-all-trades: putting out fires, creating a few new ones, and keeping things on the scientific straight and narrow. Marcel is also a regular contributor to Omincor’s Twitter page, OmnicorTweets. When not thinking of new ways to improve the business’s revenue stream, he likes to try his hand at amateur web design, brewing beer, and listens to obscure blues recordings.

Chief Information Officer
After spending time as a coder and IT entrepreneur, Yusuf joined Omnicor full time in 2008 to take control of our
information infrastructure and systems, thus avoiding being head-hunted by Google, Intel, and Apple. His favourite phrases are “soon” and “wait in line buddy”.
Since then, he has been at the forefront of Omnicor’s investment in technology and development of clever internet-
based solutions for our clients. He also has the dubious distinction of having been the first iPhone owner in the
office, and put it to good use by immediately downloading the light sabre app.
Yusuf likes winding down by coaching kids soccer, collecting sports cars, and out-geeking everybody at Omnicor
with frequent Star Wars quotes.

Finance Director
Jackie joined Omnicor in 2002 and became a fully fledged partner in 2006 as Head of Finance where she kept a
steady hand on cash flow during the critical first few years of the business. Nowadays she takes care of our finances,
ensures that the office runs smoothly, and heads up some of our internal HR activities and functions.
Clearly, she is a “Jack” of all trades, but we think she is the master of them too. To this point, Jackie already has an
IMM qualification and is currently studying towards an advanced HR qualification.
Jackie relaxes by doing gardening, playing with her kids and reading Stormie Omartian’s spiritual books.

Head of Business Development
From the earliest days of her career, Cathy was going to build new projects – she was a lecturer in fine art at the University of Cape Town and was the first artist ever to manage negotiating the use of the famous Cape Town Castle as a venue for an exhibition. It was towards the end of apartheid and Cathy reframed the venue’s use to the bewilderment of its military occupiers!
She is a co-founder of Omnicor and whilst other pregnant women were learning to breathe, she was writing psychometric exams so that she could understand the things she was selling a little better. She has a Masters degree in Philosophy of Art, double Honours degrees in Art and Psychology and is one of the fastest readers we’ve ever seen (faster now that she has a Kindle!). A self-confessed luddite, she has become an expert in competency applications and various other technical areas, all without ever a nice word about her computer!

Fatima MoolaSenior Consultant: Web Development
Having the unique distinction of being the person who first taught Yusuf Moola how to write computer programs, Fatima Moola joined the Omnicor team to help us with our increased need for web-based software development.
Her rich experience as a Software Test Manager keeps the developers on their toes, ensuring only the most robust solutions reach our clients.

Suliman ChothiaConsultant: Information Systems Support
Suli started at Omnicor in 2011, and is tasked with maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. That can sometimes be as small as making sure the Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi is switched on or as challenging as maintaining network stability. In addition, he is studying and doing MCITP as well as HTML and CSS coding.
Suli is a soccer addict (playing or watching), plays on his Xbox for hours (FIFA or COD, although not during working hours. We hope).
However, he also makes plenty of time for cooking with his wife. Apart from this romantic streak, what we really love about Suli is that he truly loves working with technology and the people who interface with it.

Deepa DayalTeam Leader: Assessments
Deepa holds an Honours degree in Industrial Psychology and is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Independent Psychometrist. Her role at Omnicor is far wider than that title may have you believe however, as she is responsible for a variety of assessment related functions, not least of which is to keep our ever-growing client base content and well supplied with assessment data and management intelligence.
Deepa’s quiet, thoughtful presence is a welcome counterpoint to the madness which is Omnicor (not to say that she doesn’t occasionally contribute to it!). When not crafting assessment reports that both delight and educate our clients, Deepa pursues her interests in proactive health and promoting HIV/AIDS awareness in South Africa.

Senior Consultant: Assessments
Starting out in the field of traffic psychology, Jean moved on to the fast moving world of Omnicor in December of 2005 as a full time assessor and assessment consultant. Currently he is managing the traffic at the assessment centre and its assessors. He is also involved with the various internal and external product system developments at Omnicor.
We know Jean as a versatile, inquisitive, perceptive, quick witted, cheerful, and imaginative team member. He enjoys nothing more than coming up with new ideas and solutions that add to the positive experience that clients get at Omnicor.
In his spare time, Jean loves watching comedies, has a keen interest in architecture and is totally besotted with his cats. He is also studying further in the area of Industrial Psychology, so watch this space!

Desiree NelConsultant: Assessments
Starting off as an intern Psychometrist, Desiree quickly made her mark at Omnicor, and we decided to employ her full time before the competition could! Since then she has revitalised our Assessment Centre and her adventurous nature propelled her forward to take on multiple roles within the Assessment team. Her passion is to empower people by helping them find their niche in the business world. To widen her horizons, she is currently studying for her Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.
Desiree’s personal life reflects her professional one, and she enjoys being an adventurer by indulging in bungee jumping, bridge swinging, zip lining, rollercoasters ,abseiling, and horse riding (thus making her immune from insurance telemarketers). In addition she organises and runs activities for youth at her local church.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Taryn KahnConsultant: Assessments
After sailing in the Caribbean for a year, Taryn joined us as an intern in January 2011. We were delighted to have her stay at Omnicor as a full time Consultant in our Assessment function. With a motivation to learn Taryn tries to get her fingers in all the pies at Omnicor (and there are many).
Although she cannot draw a stick figure, Taryn’s creativity finds another outlet in designing scrapbooks and photobooks. She also has a keen interest in photography.
Taryn fills the rest of her time volunteering for Reach for a Dream, planning her next travelling adventure and eating chocolate.

Anjli DayaConsultant: Assessment Administration
Anjli studied Organisational Psychology at Rhodes University, and chose to forsake her hometown of Port Elizabeth to move to the city of gold to join Omnicor in 2011.
She manages the assessment diary and plays a pivotal role in Omnicor’s client interactions and liaisons, not least of which those that occur in our online social networks, such as our Facebook page. Outside of work, Anjli appreciates music, nature and the performing arts. In her spare time she enjoys reading and socialising

Chris SchoemanSenior Consultant: Organisational Development
Chris started his career in the transport industry where he gained experience in business operations as well as the major Human Resources functions; including Assessment and Selection, Training and Development, Labour Relations, Employee well-being, Organisational Development, Performance Management, and Personnel Administration & Remuneration.
This list may seem long, but it pretty much sums up what Chris does at Omnicor: a little bit of everything. He joined our team in 2003 and since then successfully managed a number of large Talent Management projects. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of the company’s online assessment facility and is currently very involved in new product development. He has a special interest in optimizing organisational performance, especially within the Franchise industry and other small- to medium enterprises.
Chris specialises in assessment centres and adds value to our client’s businesses by providing them with customised assessment exercises.
When not working, Chris enjoys motorbike touring, camping, hiking, reading and watching sports.

Amaechi Nduka-AgwuSenior Consultant: Talent Management
Amaechi is a seasoned traveller in all facets of her life, education and career: as an internationally trained Psychologist she has spent time working with prisoners, professional and amateur sports people and started a community group for adolescents living with HIV before trekking around the globe and landing in the organisational development world of Omnicor.
She now draws from her multifaceted experiences to coach entrepreneurs, analyse talent in businesses and do a host of very clever things for Omnicor (we can tell you more about them, but then we’d have to kill you).
When she’s not consulting for us, Amaechi keeps herself grounded doing pottery or lifts off by dancing salsa. She also keeps her hand in various community projects for Omnicor and other organisations.

Farida SamraHead of Accounts
Farida first came to Omnicor’s attention in 2008 when she decided to swap the entrepreneurial property industry for the entrepreneurial people development industry.
As an accountant, she has worked for the massive glass and chrome auditing firms, but fortunately it has not affected her ability to laugh at herself or come up with innovative ideas on a regular basis. With a keen eye for detail and risk, we look to Farida to keep our pennies pinched, and our profits soaring.
When not keeping a watchful eye on accounts here at Omnicor, Farida enjoys reading and travel, while occasionally still dabbling in the ever-enticing property industry.

Mosuoe SekonyelaConsultant: Business Development
We discovered Mo as flamboyant Industrial Psychology graduate with an irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit and a love of business in all its forms. No surprise then that we brought him on board as a business developer.
Mo is known for being a bit of a charmer, and he puts his abilities to good use in building lasting, effective relationships with our current and potential clients.
For leisure Mo enjoy cooking, listening to music and socializing with friends. He is also known for dabbling in the occasional business venture outside of Omnicor—but we are okay with that: talent after all, will out!
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Gamong MokgatleConsultant: Business Development
Gamong started her career in academia as a keen researcher with a thirst for knowledge. It was therefore a natural fit for us to bring her on board. Joining in 2011, her warm personality quickly helped forge good business relationships.
Gamong’s academic background allows her to unpack complex content and to carefully focus on people development solutions for our clients.
She enjoys spending her leisure time doing volunteer work, spending time with friends, and delving into movies and music.

Reception & Facilities
Priscilla started at Omnicor in facilities management, but her interpersonal talents were soon recognised and she is now responsible for the reception area and switchboard.
Her office remains the cleanest in the building. Priscilla is so obliging that we have to restrain her from giving the company away. Without a grumpy bone in her body, Priscilla is able to mediate relationships with our most difficult clients. Not that we have many!
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Catering & Facilities
Her presidential name notwithstanding, Obana has the job of keeping everything at Omnicor sparkling clean. She is in charge of catering for all our visitors.
In short, Obana is like a ghost who services the facilities and works behind the scenes to enhance to the working space we all enjoy. Obana has aspirations to become a psychometrist, and we look forward to seeing her embark on this exciting career trajectory!
